Local Juniors Tournament News
Junior players reaching at least the quarters were:
Jacob Brendemuehl, Hewitt, reached the B16’s quarter in doubles at the Super Champ Tournament.
Maranda Marlin, Temple, was a G16’s consolation semi-finalist in singles at the Champ Tournament.
Harshil Patel, Temple, reached the B16’s consolation semi-finals in singles at the Champ Tournament.
Logan Gwin, Woodway, reach the B14’s consolation semi-finals in singles at the Champ Tournament.

WACO AREA JR. TEAM TENNIS PLACES 3rd at STATE
On November 20-21, 6 junior players and their coach represented the Greater Waco Area at the Jr. Team Tennis State Tournament at Newk’s Tennis Ranch in New Braunfels. Those players were Katie Coley, Caroline Kutach, Emily Vieregg, Holt Fields, Harry Foster & Kade Miller. The Coaches were Natalie Kutach and Logan Gwin. The team placed 3rd in the state after competing against 16 teams in their division.
THIS IS JUST ONE OF THE MANY WAYS YOUR WTA FUNDS ARE USED IN OUR TENNIS COMMUNITY.
Local Juniors Tournament News -- Congratulations to Caroline Kutach, McGregor, on winning the San Angelo ZAT. Caroline achieved qualified status with this win and became a Champ level player.
Other junior players reaching at least the quarters were:
- - Jacob Daugherty, Belton, reached the B14’s semi-finals in singles at the Super Champ Tournament.
- - Kenna Kilgo, Crawford, reached the G18’s semi-finals in doubles (cancelled due to rain) and the quarters at the Super Champ Tournament.
- - Matt Tyer, Hewitt, reached the B16’s finals in doubles (cancelled due to rain) at the Super Champ Tournament.
- - Sam May, McGregor, reached they B16’s quarters in doubles at the Super Champ Tournament.
- - Jessica Hagen, Temple, reached the G16’s semi-finals in singles at the Champ Tournament.
- - Maranda Marlin, Temple, was a G16’s finalist in singles at the Champ Tournament.
- - Hruday Patel, Temple, reached the B14’s semi-finals singles at the Champ Tournament.
- - Christopher Rieger, Waco, reached the B14’s quarter-finals singles at the Champ Tournament.
- - Chris Chamness, Waco, reached the B16’s quarter-finals singles at the Champ Tournament.
- - Molly Beach, Temple, reached the G16’s quarter-finals singles at the ZAT Tournament
CTC News
The first CTC meeting was quite a success with 20 junior players participating. The next CTC training is on December 5th , 1 – 4 pm.
